The Anaheim Ducks Foundation’s Fly Together Grant Program supports nonprofit organizations creating positive change for children and families in Southern California. Funded by proceeds from the team’s 50/50 Raffle, the program awards grants ranging from $5,000 to $20,000 to initiatives focused on education, health and well-being, and access to sports.
Many Orange County nonprofit organizations have unmet, hard-to-fund needs. This holds them back from meeting our collective mission of a healthy community where well-being and opportunity is achievable for all. Because of this, the Samueli Foundation is committed to strengthening the Orange County social sector. The following initiatives, launched in 2025, are new ways of meeting the community’s self-identified requests.
The Catalyst Program, California Jobs First inaugural funding source to support the development of projects in the region, reserves $14 million for Orange County to bridge the gap between planning regional economic development strategies and implementing projects designed to achieve outcomes that align with those strategies.
What is needed today to ensure Orange County’s nonprofits can thrive? This guiding question shaped a first-of-its-kind study led by the Samueli Foundation in partnership with Orange County Community Foundation. Through in-depth research and conversations with hundreds of local nonprofit leaders, the assessment surfaces key insights to help align urgent community needs with existing philanthropic resources.
The findings offer both a comprehensive assessment and a roadmap for action—providing valuable insights not only for Orange County but for communities beyond.
